Which screws do I unscrew to get Dragon's Lair monitor out?

  1. There are no Screws to unscrew to get the Monitor out of a Dragon's Lair. Just some Carriage Bolts and Nuts. Having done it myself, You don't want to undo the Nuts that hold the Monitor Bracket to the Sides of the Cabinet. It looks easier, because the Nuts are All on the inside, but it's actually harder to get it out that way, as well as awkward. You may either end up braking the Monitor or pulling something in your back. Unfortunately, to undo the other 4 Nuts that hold the Monitor Frame to the Brackets, you have to undo them first from the inside back of the Cabinet, but don't pull out the Carriage Bolts, then from the outside front of the Cabinet, then pull the Monitor out the Front of the Cabinet. Of course, make sure all of the Cables are disconnected first, which may also include the Field Ground, as well. Good Luck.

  2. Correction, I just remembered, you can't get the Monitor out the front because of the Wooden Bezel that is attached to the front of the Cabinet. You really need at lease two people to help pull the Monitor out the back. It's just a Huge Pain. Good Luck.

  3. With two people, you might also be able to undo the Nuts on the Top Bracket on both sides, while one holds the Monitor, you pull out the Bolts, then tilt the Monitor back a bit to make it easier to pull out from the back. You may loosen the bottom two nuts, but whatever you do never take the nuts off or pull the carriage bolts out. Good Luck.
